No solo aporta recursos humanos y conocimientos especializados, sino que tambi\u00e9n construye comunidad y amplifica el impacto social de los proyectos. Atraer y retener voluntarios implica generar un sentido de pertenencia y prop\u00f3sito.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Laura L\u00f3pez, de Toluca, M\u00e9xico, comparte su experiencia trabajando en el proyecto <em>Sanando desde el Aula<\/em>, que se centra en transitar el duelo en contextos escolares:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>&#8220;Crear una red externa de especialistas interdisciplinarios fue clave. \u00bfC\u00f3mo lo hicimos? Tocando puertas, compartiendo una idea, conectando con la empat\u00eda y transmitiendo nuestra pasi\u00f3n. Logramos que los voluntarios sintieran que no solo se sumaban a una organizaci\u00f3n, sino a una misi\u00f3n de vida. Cuatro a\u00f1os despu\u00e9s, siguen participando activamente y coincidiendo en espacios donde se desarrolla el programa&#8221;.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Su experiencia demuestra que para atraer voluntarios es fundamental hacerlos sentir parte de un prop\u00f3sito mayor y conectar desde lo humano.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>PREPARANDO LAS VALIJAS<br>Hoja de Ruta para entender mis necesidades<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Antes de salir a buscar gente, hay que saber qu\u00e9 tipo de voluntario se necesita y para qu\u00e9 lo convocamos. \u00bfQu\u00e9 actividades necesito llevar adelante como parte de mi proyecto? \u00bfSe requieren habilidades espec\u00edficas? \u00bfEs un voluntariado presencial u online? Tener claridad en esto ayuda a encontrar a las personas adecuadas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Marie Claire Kuja, participante del PIL 2024 con su iniciativa <em>KujaEcoPads<\/em> y con experiencia en voluntariados internacionales, subraya desde Camer\u00fan:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>&#8220;Algunos vienen con un compromiso real, pero otros lo ven m\u00e1s como una oportunidad de turismo. Es importante asegurarse de que entiendan bien las expectativas antes de sumarlos al equipo&#8221;.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Conocer el ecosistema de voluntariado local<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Linda Peia, Directora Senior de <em>Ashoka<\/em>, recomienda mapear a los actores locales que pueden aportar lo que tu organizaci\u00f3n necesita. Universidades, empresas y gobiernos locales suelen tener programas donde estudiantes y profesionales pueden sumarse a proyectos con impacto social. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Por su parte, Nicole Fusilier, L\u00edder del Programa de Innovadores Locales, al ser consultada para escribir esta Hoja de Ruta ahonda en esto: \u201c<em>Las universidades, por ejemplo, ofrecen pr\u00e1cticas en las que los estudiantes aplican sus conocimientos antes de graduarse, mientras que muchas empresas cuentan con voluntariados corporativos o programas pro bono donde especialistas brindan su tiempo y experiencia<\/em>\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"760\" height=\"562\" src=\"http:\/\/34.39.255.174\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/6e-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1156\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ayni.mascomunidad.org.ar\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/6e-1.jpg 760w, https:\/\/ayni.mascomunidad.org.ar\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/6e-1-300x222.jpg 300w, https:\/\/ayni.mascomunidad.org.ar\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/6e-1-16x12.jpg 16w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 760px) 100vw, 760px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">voluntariado en Uganda<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Difundir de forma estrat\u00e9gica y facilitar la incorporaci\u00f3n de voluntarios.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Las redes sociales, el boca a boca, eventos comunitarios y alianzas con universidades o empresas pueden ser una buena fuente para encontrar voluntarios.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ann Grace Akiteng, de Uganda, integrante de <em>Creative Initiative for Enterprise Development<\/em>, comenta que una de las principales barreras para que las organizaciones sumen voluntarios es la falta de informaci\u00f3n sobre su disponibilidad:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>&#8220;Muchas organizaciones no involucran voluntarios porque no saben d\u00f3nde encontrarlos. Adem\u00e1s, la falta de recursos para su manutenci\u00f3n hace que algunas no puedan recibirlos&#8221;.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Para superar esto, se puede recurrir a plataformas especializadas para difundir oportunidades de voluntariado, como <a href=\"https:\/\/www.idealist.org\/es\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>Idealist<\/em><\/a><em>, <\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/taprootfoundation.org\/signup\/nonprofit\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>Taproot Foundation<\/em><\/a><em>, <\/em><a href=\"http:\/\/servoluntario.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>SerVoluntario.org<\/em><\/a><em> (Argentina). <\/em>Tambi\u00e9n se pueden publicar b\u00fasquedas en <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>LinkedIn<\/em><\/a><em>.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El mensaje de convocatoria debe ser atractivo y claro. En lugar de simplemente decir <em>&#8220;Buscamos voluntarios&#8221;<\/em>, es m\u00e1s efectivo comunicar el impacto real del trabajo: <em>&#8220;S\u00famate a nuestro equipo y ay\u00fadanos a dar apoyo escolar a 100 chicos cada semana&#8221;.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Por \u00faltimo, el proceso de inscripci\u00f3n debe ser simple y accesible. Desde el inicio, es clave explicar qu\u00e9 se espera del voluntario, cu\u00e1nto tiempo implica y qu\u00e9 reglas debe seguir. Un voluntario sin una tarea clara se sentir\u00e1 perdido.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Marie Claire alerta sobre los peligros que esto conlleva:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>&#8220;Si un voluntario se siente perdido, es probable que abandone. Es clave darle un prop\u00f3sito claro y asegurarse de que entiende su rol&#8221;.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Para eso, ella recomienda firmar acuerdos de compromiso que eviten malos entendidos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El \u00e9xito de un programa de voluntariado no solo depende de atraer personas comprometidas, sino tambi\u00e9n de acompa\u00f1arlas en su proceso. Contar con un equipo que los gu\u00ede, resuelva sus dudas y los ayude a adaptarse es fundamental para garantizar una experiencia positiva y sostenible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Brindar una orientaci\u00f3n inicial facilita su integraci\u00f3n a la comunidad y les permite comprender mejor la cultura y el entorno en el que trabajar\u00e1n.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Asignar un responsable del equipo de voluntarios, permite tener un interlocutor claro que centralice la comunicaci\u00f3n desde y hacia la organizaci\u00f3n, otorgue claridad en los procesos y asegure un acompa\u00f1amiento constante para que los voluntarios se sientan apoyados y alineados con los objetivos de la organizaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Adem\u00e1s, cuidar aspectos clave como la alimentaci\u00f3n, el alojamiento y su bienestar general no solo mejora su experiencia, sino que tambi\u00e9n refuerza su motivaci\u00f3n y compromiso.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En el caso de voluntarios que participan de programas de intercambio, es importante encontrar un equilibrio entre el trabajo voluntario y la oportunidad de conocer el lugar, sin perder de vista el prop\u00f3sito de su misi\u00f3n.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Un voluntario que se siente acompa\u00f1ado y valorado no solo permanecer\u00e1 m\u00e1s tiempo, sino que tambi\u00e9n se convertir\u00e1 en un embajador del proyecto, inspirando a otros a sumarse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Por eso, es clave <strong>reconocer el rol fundamental de los voluntarios en hacer realidad la misi\u00f3n de la organizaci\u00f3n<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Uno de los principales factores para que un voluntario permanezca en una organizaci\u00f3n es sentirse valorado y motivado. Estas son algunas estrategias para mantener a los voluntarios motivados:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Dar retroalimentaci\u00f3n constante<\/strong>: No esperes a que termine su experiencia para reconocer su trabajo. Peque\u00f1os comentarios positivos durante el proceso refuerzan su compromiso.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Celebrar logros<\/strong>: Organizar eventos de reconocimiento, como encuentros de agradecimiento o premiaciones simb\u00f3licas, genera un sentido de comunidad.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Ofrecer oportunidades de crecimiento<\/strong>: Capacitar a los voluntarios y permitirles asumir mayores responsabilidades puede aumentar su sentido de pertenencia.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Otorgar certificados o cartas de recomendaci\u00f3n<\/strong>: Especialmente \u00fatil para estudiantes o voluntarios internacionales que buscan experiencias para su desarrollo profesional.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Hacer que su impacto sea visible<\/strong>: Compartir historias de \u00e9xito y resultados concretos del voluntariado refuerza la idea de que su trabajo tiene un prop\u00f3sito real. Por ejemplo:<strong> <\/strong><em>&#8220;Gracias a nuestro equipo de voluntarios, 200 familias recibieron asistencia en el \u00faltimo mes&#8221;.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Medir el impacto del voluntariado<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Para que un programa de voluntariado sea sostenible, es importante medir su impacto. Algunas preguntas clave:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u00bfCu\u00e1ntos voluntarios participaron y cu\u00e1nto tiempo dedicaron?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bfQu\u00e9 tareas realizan y qu\u00e9 resultados se lograron?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00bfC\u00f3mo evaluaron los voluntarios su experiencia?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Llevar un registro de estos datos permite mejorar la gesti\u00f3n y mostrar a la comunidad el valor del trabajo voluntario.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">LLEGADA<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Atraer y retener voluntarios requiere estrategia y dedicaci\u00f3n. Evitar errores comunes, utilizar herramientas adecuadas y ofrecer una experiencia clara y motivadora es la clave para construir un equipo comprometido y duradero.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No se trata solo de sumar manos, sino de fortalecer una cultura de participaci\u00f3n y compromiso que transforme realidades a largo plazo. Cada voluntario multiplica el impacto de la organizaci\u00f3n, inspirando a otros y generando cambios que trascienden su propia acci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En definitiva, construir comunidades m\u00e1s justas y solidarias empieza por ellos. Ask yourself:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>What activities are essential for my project?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Are specific skills required?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Is it an in-person or online volunteering role?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Having clarity on these aspects will help you attract the right individuals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Marie Claire Kuja, a participant in the <em>LIP2024<\/em> program with her <em>KujaEcoPads<\/em> initiative, has extensive experience in international volunteering. She emphasizes from Cameroon that a volunteer\u2019s age and profile are key considerations:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>&#8220;Some people are truly committed, but others see it as an opportunity for tourism. In some places, volunteer programs must comply with legal requirements such as volunteer registration, mandatory insurance, or specific safety and labor laws. Additionally, the lack of resources to support them prevents some from being able to host volunteers at all.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To address this, organizations can use specialized platforms to promote volunteer opportunities, such as <em>Idealist, Taproot Foundation<\/em>, or <em>SerVoluntario.org (Argentina)<\/em>.
